DOLLS!!

Here are some cute dolls that have been amidst some of my most recent projects. I love making them! They are just so cute and each one turns out differently. I love to give them away and hope they brighten someone's day!

Another Baby Shower!

Our good friend Alisha had her baby shower the first weekend of December. Melissa and I were in charge of the food for the shower! Melissa was so kind to help with just having a baby, but it was fun times! Here is the cake we made/decorated for the shower. It is not quite finished here...
Here is Melissa doing some of the decorating...
Making a cheese ball...YUMMY!

Tree Decorating!

The Sunday after Thanksgiving, we decorated our lovely tree with the help of our friends, Swathi and Shirley! We also celebrated Shirley's birthday! It was lots of fun while listening to Christmas music! I love Christmas...

Taffy Pull!!

While we were at Brady & Tasha's we held our first Taffy Pull!! It was fun and sure messy, but now we know what to do and what not to do!!!

This was the end result...it turned out to be really yummy!

Thanksgiving!!!

THANKSGIVING!! One of the things that we are so thankful for is having family so near. We were truly grateful to be able to spend thanksgiving with Chase's brother and sister and their lovely families! We spent the holiday at Brady and Tasha's place and definitely had fun getting ready for the wonderful yummy meal! We ended up eating while the kiddies were all taking their naps so unfortunately it was just us adults!! It was nice to take moments to think about all that I am grateful for. I am truly grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who has a plan for us and for his son, our dear Savior and the greatest gift of all, the atonement. I am soooo grateful for a wonderful husband. He is the best man I know and I couldn't ask for anyone better. He is kind, patient, loving, and truly honors his priesthood. I am grateful to have gone through and will continue to go through life's journeys with him. He is truly my world. I love you Chase! And I can't forget our wonderful families and dear parents. We have been blessed with so much and thank the Lord for his goodness. We hope you all had an enjoyable Thanksgiving!

A New Baby Born!!

Congrats to our good friends, Melissa and Jason! They had their little Jack last Tuesday the 24th! It was crazy because just the day before I had been over at their place because they had so kindly invited me to dinner because Chase was out of town and we had hung out in the evening scrapbooking and doing other crafty things and then hours later she is in labor and having a baby! I got to go visit Tuesday evening and then took Chase there once he got back on Wednesday evening. We got some pictures but forgot to get some with all of us =(!

Sydney & Grant

Our big excitement last week was being able to have our Niece and Nephew, Sydney and Grant, over for a few days. It was fun to spend time with these wonderful cute kids!

New House for Paul & Janelle!

A few weeks ago, Paul and Janelle were able to close on their new house! Yay! Since then they have been in a frenzy to get it ready to move into! Painting and the works. It is coming together really nicely. So a couple weekends ago, Brady, Chase and I went to go help out with a little painting and installing wood flooring in the entry way. Looks good fellas!

New Mattresses!!

At the end of October we finally decided to purchase a new mattress for the sake of our backs! We are soo excited to have a new bed to sleep on! Notice the headboard~ That was a project in the works for awhile! Its really just an old fence that was being thrown away that I cleaned up and painted! Kinda fun!

Baby Shower!

The Saturday after my birthday a few friends and I threw a baby shower for our friend Melissa! I was in charge of the desserts and a few other things =) It turned out to be really cute! We are sooo excited for Melissa and Jason for this new phase in their lives!

A few projects

Here are a couple of projects I completed a while back...one is a wash cloth that I crocheted and this other one is a serving platter thing...I really enjoy crafting! Although most of the things I am doing now are things that take a lot more time...eventually they might be posted!

Chase's Conference

Here is a picture from the conference Chase attended...it was a pretty big conference. It is super great that he has these opportunities but it is sad to see him leave =(

25th Birthday!!

Can you believe I am 25!!! Here is me on my birthday with friends and family! Chase made it really nice for me starting out with breakfast in bed (with one of my favorite breakfast meals-biscuits and gravy), lunch at Olive Garden and a friend/family party in the evening...AND best of all was that he took the whole day off for me! (He had been gone in Atlanta all week so it was nice to spend the day together)!

Painting Pumpkins!

For the first week of November Chase went to Atlanta, Georgia for a APS conference where he presented a poster to a lot of smart people. He is so smart! While he was gone I got together with our friend Shirley and painted pumpkins...a little late but Chase and I weren't able to do it before Halloween...

Chase and Facial Hair Adventures

For Halloween, Chase wanted to have a frenchie mustache. In order to get there he grew out a beard for a couple of weeks...see below.
This is what came next.....eeek!
Then this! Waw-La!

Halloween!

For Halloween, we got together with friends and family and enjoyed a Clue dinner party to discover the murderer of Mr. Boddy!! Chase was Monsieur Brunette and I was Madame Rose!

New Nephew!!

Congratulations to my brother Michael and sister-in-law Sara on the birth of their baby boy! He was born in September. His name is Elijah Michael!! Isn't he soo cute!

Busy!!

So life is super crazy! I can't believe October is almost over already. Since General Conference, the weeks have just flown by. Chase is keeping busy with his RA duties and research and I am continuing to keep busy with projects and keeping the house in order. On the 10th, I went down to Indy to help Tasha with a Wedding Photo Shoot she had!! It was her first one! She is really hitting the ground running with her photo shoots! Great Job Tasha! We have started attending a weekly potluck dinner night here at Purdue Village with some other PV residents! It is fun! One is a picture of Chase at one last week!
On the 16th last week, Chase and I went to a Jazz Band concert at Purdue. It was soo wonderful! I truly enjoyed it! Other than that, our lives continue on as normal! Busy busy busy!
