Just a little more about our lives!

Well so I kinda like doing those marathon blog postings, can't you tell?! Anyways, I just thought I would do a little update on what our normal lives are like=) Chase recently started grad school last week! Yeah for him! He seems to be getting in the groove pretty well so that is super good. In the meantime, I got a job and I am now working as a case manager for Community & Family Resource Center in a program called Babies Can't Wait. It is a pretty neat program. We work with families that have lost custody of their children due to drug use or neglect etc. and we work with the parents in reunifying them with their children. We teach the parents parenting skills and other skills necessary to be functional in society etc. There is actually a lot more to it than that but I don't think you want the whole spill! Other than work and school...Chase and I are pretty involved in church stuff...Chase is the assistant ward mission leader and I am a ward missionary and laurels advisor in the young womens. Both have been great callings and have given me a great opportunity for learning and growth. To be honest I feel so young when I am around all the young women!

Something we have recently taken up, is watching The Office...to be honest everytime I watch an episode...it makes me soooo crazy and I can't stand Michael Scott (to all who have ever watched The Office) But it is something that Chase enjoys so I mostly watch it for him!

So when we aren't watching The Office, we are either hanging out with our great friends here in Indiana playing games or hanging out (which is something we love to do!)!

Holy lots of posts- and btw, when I first started watching the office I wanted to strangle Michael Scott- but you get used to him and then you can laugh with everyone else.

Hey Joni, I wasn't sure how to get ahold of you. Just wanted to let you know they released Bishop Moore last Sunday. Aleisha McConkie is putting together a scrapbook for him. If you can, send your favorite pictures from your time in 14th ward or send a current family snap shot and a short paragraph about where you are and what you're doing. Email to Aleisha McConkie at a_mcconkie@yahoo.com Bishop will really appreciate it!!

Hi Joni (I am your cousin-in-law)! I just wanted to say good luck with your job. I was a teacher in Utah and had some of my students' parents going through the same program you are working with. I am sure it is challenging to see the conditions several of these kids live in! I know the parents (at least some of the ones I worked with in Utah) are so appreciative to have the help and see what they need to do to get back on track to help them and their kids succeed. Good luck with school Chase! I know you will do awesome in all of your classes :)

Hey Joni-
Sad that Jesse & I are so out of touch with everyone and life that we didn't even know you weren't in Pocatello any more! We are pathetic. I thought I would tell you that we recently met your Dad. He is in our Stake! Such a nice guy, we would have never known that he was your Dad if we hadn't mentioned 14th Ward. Hope you guys are doing well.
