Lovely Days!

The weather has just been sooo fabulous! I love the sunny days! Last week we went on a walk along the Wabash and the temperature was perfect and the trees were beginning to bud. It was a lovely evening.

Over spring break last week we drove up to Ohio to visit my brother Michael and his family. It was great to see them! Along the way we encountered this sign! It was so awesome because this is my maiden name and the exact spelling! Cool huh?!

While we were visiting my brother we drove to Kirtland for a day trip. Here is my nephew Eli by one of the signs. It was so neat to learn more about the early saints and the beginnings of the church.

Here is the ashery and mill.

Here we are along with my brother's family posing in front of the Newel K. Whitney store. The School of the Prophets was held in one of the upper rooms in the store. It sure had a special feeling there. Joseph Smith and his family lived in the store until they had more permanent housing.

This was inside the Ashery where they would take ash and turn it into a more solid state that would be used in making china dishes.

Here is Chase in front of the Kirtland Temple. It was actually technically closed on the day we went to visit but while we were walking on the outside someone asked if we would like a tour so Chase and I got our own private tour!

Even though the LDS Church doesn't own this temple currently it still has a special feeling there. Many sacred events happened here.

I couldn't help posting this picture of this cute boy! My nephew John Ellis is such a happy little boy with such a big smile! We had such a wonderful time visiting Sara and Michael and kids! It is always nice to visit family =)
