Our Miracle

Where do Miracles come from? Of course from a loving, all-knowing Father in Heaven. For which I am forever grateful.

During the last few years I have really come to love the scripture in Genesis 30:22 where it reads "And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her, and opened her womb." There have been several moments where I have felt the yearnings of motherhood just as Rachel did in Old Testament times. Even to the point of crying out as she, "Give me children, or else I die." Her yearnings were deep and rooted within her just as mine in me. As women we desire to nurture and to have children. Its a spiritual and natural yearning.

One thing that I have come to realize is that God never forgot Rachel. He was shaping her and preparing her to have greater faith. I, too, realize that God never has forgotten me or Chase in our yearnings and pleadings for children. We have had time to grow and strengthen in our relationship and our faith, as well as have many wonderful life opportunities. God is the master artist in our lives. His plan is perfect if we put our trust in Him He will create something beautiful and masterful.

I am so grateful to have never been forgotten by my Father in Heaven. I am truly and eternally thankful to be able to now say as Rachel, "And God remembered Joni, and hearkened to her, and opened her womb."

The Lord is Good.

We had this picture but...
We can't take God out of the equation!

(Actually there were many parts to the equation including doctors, embryologists, medication, needles, prayers, fasting, priesthood blessings, and the faith of many family & friends~and most importantly a loving Father in Heaven~We are forever grateful)

I am beyond happy for you!!! Why didn't you tell me at volleyball?!?! And like Celeste said, I don't know if I've ever been so happy to hear a baby announcement!!

Huh, you know, at volleyball I was thinking that I had had a great day, I had two wonderful things happen today with Dustin passing his defense, and my neighbor, Bliss, agreeing to take the missionary lessons. I was thinking over those thoughts when I was standing next to you off the court and my thought was, the only thing that could make this better would be to find out Joni is going to have a baby. God is good. You know that, and so do I. Joni, I couldn't be happier for you and Chase. Congratulations!

We are so happy and excited for you guys!! You will be amazing parents and that sweet little one is so lucky to be your child! :) We went thru 4 years of infertility and also were on the adoption waiting list before I was able to get pregnant with our sweet Emily. It just goes to show that our Heavenly Father has a perfect plan for each of us...even though we don't understand it sometimes. Good luck with the pregnancy!!

Joni- oh my gosh, I am so very happy for you! I'm going to cry. This is so amazing! Congratulations! When are you due? Oh, the joy of it all! I am just so extremely happy for you and am glad you know God's hand in everything. For years I felt like Rachel... that my "Jacob" was serving fourteen years for me, ha ha... and then I look back and see how wonderfully everything was orchestrated and why some things happened the way they did. Now, Mark and I have a beautiful daughter and another on the way... and I wish you many more tiny miracles to come!

Oh my goodness Joni (and Chase), I am so extremely happy and excited for you two!! I think about you often and always tell people about your adoption blog, but looks like the Lord had other plans for you. You two are going to be amazing parents. The Lord IS good and how wonderful it is that He never forgets us. I can't express just how happy I am for you two. Congratulations!! I love you both...I mean, three! I can't wait to see and hear more about this new adventure in your lives!!
