Recently... And Canning Adventures!

A couple of weekends back we went to Pocatello for a spring time party with family. 

 Here is Chase enjoying a yummy taco salad!

 Thankfully he is getting better with eating!

 While we were in Pocatello i bought 2 flats of strawberries which was a little ambitious for me! Needless to say i spent last week canning and trying to use them up before they all went bad.

 First we made strawberry freezer jam and also just froze a bunch.

 Then i made strawberry syrup which was my first time canning all by myself. And it turned out!

 YUMMY!

 Then with the last bit I made strawberry jelly but I didn't do that great. I am learning...at least it tastes good although it is not like normal jelly.

 This last weekend Chase went on a campout with the scouts. They hiked into a cave and it was quite the hike. It left them sore and tired but they loved it!
