July Overview

So I know I should probably do these in separate posts but to make it easier on me I am going to include LOTS of pictures and just give you an overview of this last month. It was a crazy month as the whole summer has been with non stop activities and go go go!
Back in July we went boating with our friends Leah and Scott and their two kiddos. It was Alvin's first time on a boat and wearing a life jacket. He did not like the life jacket but he seemed to do well in the boat!

Chase going wild on the tube. I got on the tube for like a minute before I decided that wasn't for me. I believe I have gotten wimpy =)
 Hanging out in the boat.
We stopped at one of the docks to have a BBQ dinner. It was sure fun.

Alvin and McKay hanging out on the tube on the dock!

Chase and Drake on the tubes. It was lots of fun boating, eating and being with friends!
After the boating excursion we went camping! We drove to a spot that Chase thought might have some camping spots. Once we got there it was called "dispersed camping," meaning roughing it camping, meaning no potties.  We did at least have a little fire pit that someone had made with rocks. We set up camp because it was already 8pm or so and we needed to get Alvin to bed. There were tons of mosquitos thus the hoodie not because it was cold.
It was interesting to say the least.

Alvin didn't do so good. He woke up several times in the night and ended up joining us in our bed because it was too cold. It was our first time camping with him so we learned some stuff.
Family picture! We woke up to the sound of thunder and rain so we didn't even stick around for breakfast. We hurried and packed and headed home where we cooked up our yummy camping breakfast.
Before we headed home we stopped on the road to see the falls that were nearby. We couldn't get a great view but it was good enough for the moment.

Later that day we got together for a swimming party for our niece Cami. It was her birthday party!
 Swimming was quite fun!

Nieces and nephews playing! We had lots of water fights going on! The kids and adults loved it!

Also this last month we had a Redd family reunion. We went to a place called Cherry Hill in Kaysville, UT. It has a water park and some other attractions. We had fun swimming and spending a day with family. Alvin was sure tired out after all the fun. He even went down some water slides with daddy. He was sure a trooper. We had a nice little program of sorts and spent lots of time visiting and hanging out.

Another activity we did this month was go to a Chukars game! It was Alvin's first baseball game! Doesn't he look like he is so into it?
Some of the game in action!

We had a fun night out at the game.

Of course we had to get baseball game food!

We didn't end up staying too long since it was Alvin's bedtime but it was a fun night out!
Here is Alvin hanging out in the Mother's lounge. Its a weekly occurrence (for eating and changing of course- although sometimes I think it would be better to hide out in there since he is so crazy at church now- a- days...).

Just some random pictures of Alvin!
 Lounging on his soft ball...

 Eating watermelon...which he loves!

 Eating watermelon....again!
Did I mention he is all over the place?

Messy eating! He is doing so good eating for the last couple of months. I am so happy about it!

My mom sporting a rhubarb leaf!

 hanging in the backyard...
 Our feeties!
Alvin loves that he can move around so much!

Also this last month we went to an INL picnic where they provided dinner, ice cream, cotton candy, ice cones, and unlimited soda plus lots of activities. Alvin loved the ice cream (we did not give him the whole thing. He actually only had a taste but he grabbed the cone from me and we took a picture...we aren't those kind of parents ;) ha ha) He actually did not enjoy when we took it away. He also loved the blow up toys and the kids everywhere!

Here are some pictures of our gardens. It is lots of work but we have really enjoyed reaping the benefits of planting a garden. We are just now starting to get lots of produce. We have also been enjoying the beautiful flower gardens that the previous owners planted! It is so fun to see the different flowers blooming and such.

 Our apple trees!

Alvin is doing so well drinking out of a sippy cup! We just love it!
Hanging out with uncle Drake. They are matching!

 Playing!
 On his rocking horse...

Crawling into every nook and cranny.
Then not too long ago we went camping with our friends Toni and Devin and their two girls. We went to a place not too far from where we camped before but this time we got a much better view of the falls. Drake, Chase's brother came with us.

Toni and Devin climbing down to get closer to the falls. We did this too =)

Closer to the falls with my boy.
 All together!
After visiting the falls we headed back to camp and cooked up a wonderful dutch oven dinner.

Alvin with his friend Finley playing!
In the morning just hanging out!

 Visiting the river.
Sailyr and Alvin hanging out! We had lots of fun and it was so nice to go with such good friends! We enjoyed laughing and eating together!
Another random picture....eating waffles. Chase's family use to have waffles every Saturday, a tradition Chase wants to continue. So we are starting young!
Alvin on the move! He is crawling all over and now has started to climb the stairs!

Some of our garden produce! Yum yum!
Alvin and Samuel hanging out watching out the window.
The weekend before last we headed to Twin Falls for Chase's cousin's farewell. It was nice to see family and spend that time together. It was Alvin's first introduction to horses. He loved it until it started snorting then he got scared!

So as you see we have had lots of adventures in July and more to come in August!
