My friend Toni tagged me on her blog to continue what I believe started on Facebook ... =) Since I am not on Facebook I will do it here also- to be seen in the blogging world.
Here it goes- 8 things about me:
1. I love being a mother more than anything and truly do thank my Father in Heaven that I am a mother.
2. My most favorite meal time of the day is breakfast because I love breakfast food (minus cold cereal not a huge fan)- mostly warm breakfasts: i.e. muffins, eggs, toast, pancakes, waffles, crepes, biscuits & gravy etc. And Chase still makes breakfast when he is home for the weekends. I love it!
3. I am a little OCD about having our toy box organized. Which is silly because it is basically a box with a lid but I like to have the things put together inside it. Like the shape blocks in the box thing and all the musical toys in the music box thing etc. You get the point.
4. I wish I loved to run. My sister loves to run and I am kind of envious of that. It has seemed a bit of a romantical (not a real word) notion to go out running and feel the wind on your face and feel so energized afterward. I did run a 5K thanks to my good friend Toni. I didn't really mind preparing for that and thought I would be able to keep up the running everyday, but I dreaded it every morning and I just ended up stopping. I just really wish I loved to run.
5. I often feel restless. I want to travel! I know we have done a bit of traveling in the past and since having Alvin we have slowed down a bit, but if we haven't gone anywhere outside of Idaho for 2 months or so I start feeling like we need to go somewhere. I love to travel and experience new places.
6. I love finding/or making the perfect gift for someone. Especially if they cry when you give it to them because then you know it is the perfect gift. It doesn't often happen but when it does the moment is special.
7. I love meeting new people but I hate saying goodbyes. I remember when we went and visited Chase's mission in Spain. I got to meet some ward members he served with and we even stayed with them for a few days. I cried when we had to say goodbye. They had come to mean so much in such a little time.
8. I hope we have a girl at some point. Maybe this is a hush hush topic and truly I will be grateful to God for whatever children we are blessed with. I love little boys. Before finding out that we were having a boy I was so sure we were having a girl. When we went to the ultrasound I was honestly super surprised. I don't want to say that I was disappointed because honestly here we were having a miracle baby. My miracle baby. So I wasn't disappointed, it just wasn't what I expected. And now after experiencing over a year with sweet little Alvin I could not be happier that he is a boy. I wouldn't want it any different. He is so amazing. And if we aren't able to have anymore than I will be so blessed to have had him. I don't feel in my heart that he is all we will have. So I do hope that we have a girl at some point.
So there you go! My 8- Just for you Toni!
And something you didn't know Toni (since this is all for you) is that though I may not have verbalized it in a prayer, I too was in need of a friend. We had just moved from Indiana where we had made amazing friends and it was hard coming here and starting over making friends. Of course we have family close by, which was a great blessing and they are some of my closest friends, but I still needed a friend and you were and are a great blessing to me! God was good when he crossed our paths.
And just for fun I will tag Liz E., Christi W. and Melissa N.! 8 things!
