One of the saddest things about after Christmas passes is taking down all the Christmas stuff. It was pretty sad and makes the room feel so empty. After Christmas I took pictures for my cousin's wedding and then took ill for quite some time. It was bad timing during the holidays but good that Chase was home to take care of me and Alvin. We were both sick and it has taken some time to get better. Now we are both pretty much all better and hope to stay that way!
Before taking the tree down...Overall Alvin did really well leaving the tree alone. He loved to see it and I think he misses it.
This is how our nativity advent calendar turned out this year with Alvin's help!
For New Years we got together at my aunts place and ate yummy food and played games and stayed up way too late. It took some time to recuperate.
Now we are back to normal life. Alvin was looking out the window the other day and I couldn't help but take a picture. We can't wait until it gets warmer and we can play outside. Life is good since we have started to feel better. Through it all we realized how thankful we are for being healthy (for the most part) and I am soo thankful for an awesome husband who did everything around the house while I was sick. He was a good nurse, cook and just so wonderful! Alvin and I are sure lucky!
