Since Japan...

Half of the summer seemed over by the time we returned! After arriving home we celebrated Father's Day and Chase's big 30! One of the favorite gifts was this big blue bean chair! Alvin claimed it as his own!

We also attempted camping but got rained out. Alvin loved the time out in the woods!

Our picnic in between the rain!

Our little outdoors man!

Drying off bums!

We also celebrated my mom's 60th birthday!

So fun!

Fourth of July was so fun starting with a picnic and parade and then easy going day.

Watching the parade!

Before the big fireworks we did some of our own at my in-laws! Alvin couldn't decide whether to cry or laugh!

He did eventually get brave enough to hold a sparkler!

Watching fireworks!

Then another week we headed down to Stanley before a Taylor family get together in McCall. We stopped at a ghost town called Bayhorse, an old mining town on the way. It was quite the sight and pretty awesome!

This was from our hotel. Quite the view!

We stopped at Redfish and Stanley lakes. They were so pretty and picturesque.

Love this sign!

Belly shot!

Then we went the rest of the way to McCall. We stayed in a nice cabin with all of Chase's siblings and families and his parents! We had a great time!

Our big hike! It tired us all out!

Playing in the water at the lake! So fun!

Canoeing, boating, paddleboarding etc.

We really enjoyed the time together!

We also squeezed in a few trips to the zoo.

In the Stanley Hotel....pictures are out of order!

Play group at the park!

INL Family Picnic

We have also been working on some projects. This one Chase started as soon as we got back from Japan. He has been wanting to make a food storage can roller. It is quite nice!

Attempted camping.

Washing the car!

Playing in the yard!

Sparklers and fireworks!

Alvin loves this hat and will wear it while playing and sometimes when we go out. Pretty cute!

Bath time fun! Little boys sure get dirty!

Ghost town.

Stanley Hotel- pretty rustic. We shared bathroom accommodations with the other guests!

Our hike in McCall. Alvin got pretty worn out and fell asleep on the hike out.

This is how he shoots a gun. Puts it right up to his eye!

We also went to a baseball game!

And got a wagon!! I was pretty excited about this one!

belly bump picture!

Alvin's Swimming lessons!

Playing outside!

Some of our garden produce! Yum!

Adopted nephew's baptism!

Alvin sporting Grandpa's hat!

Going for a boat ride!

This summer has just flown by! We have had lots of fun experiences and we sure do love being close to family! We are excited for our new little one to join us (but not too early!) Life is good. The Lord is so good to us and we feel so blessed.

Okay, so the ghost town is SO fascinating. I want to go! And you went to Japan? I'll have to catch up on that next!

Yes, Bryce graduated in Feb and we now live in Oregon! He works at Intel and has been enjoying it so far. We are LOVING being close to family.

So fun to catch up on blogs! Love your belly bump! You are incredibly brave to camp while pregnant. I'm a wimp!
