The last week of May, Chase had a conference in San Diego, so we planned for me to tag along. Also thankfully, Chase's Mom, Dad, and brother came too! It was a fun week. Chase was mostly in seminars and conference stuff but he was able to do things with us too. The pictures aren't in any order but depict some of the high-lights of the week. We arrived the evening of Sunday the 23rd. Julie, Nyle and Drake had already arrived by then. Monday we explored around the Catamaran Resort we were staying at, walked along the beach, went paddleboating, swimming, and finished the day by going to the Mormon Battalion Site (Amazing by the way!). Tuesday we walked along the beach some more, went kayaking in the bay, played frisbee, ate pizza and went to the San Diego temple. Wednesday we went to the famous San Diego Zoo and ate at a yummy Mexican restaurant in old downtown San Diego. Thursday we explored old downtown San Diego. Friday Chase's family left to travel to the Grand Canyon and Chase and I did some walking along the beach and pier and also went to a cute little amusement park on the ocean front. We also went swimming and had a nice dinner with a friend of ours named Sumith. He is doing a post doc in San Diego so it was nice to catch up with him. On Saturday we rented a tandem bike- so fun and Chase loved it! Then we packed up and headed to the airport.
It was a lovely trip and so fun with Chase's family. We got home late Saturday evening. Just in time for a few hours of sleep before going to church...

The sad thing about the temple was that it was all covered in scaffolding when we showed up. They were doing some repair work and so we couldn't see the loveliness of the outside but the temple was wonderful.

WOW! It looks like you had tons of fun! When you said the temple was covered in Scaffolding, you really meant it! That stinks!
