I know I have been absolutely horrible about blogging lately! We have had the awesome privilege of having some wonderful guests these last couple of months and so here are some pictures to show for it! There are lots of pictures just to warn you! Chase's parents came into town not this last Saturday but the Saturday before that and spent about a week with us. It was so fun having them come.
Last Monday we braved the heat and headed to Shades State Park. Can you believe we were pretty much the only ones there? I am sure you will notice our glistening skin!
Chase and his parents.

In a tree!

skipping rocks! Chase got one to go all the way to the other side of the river (or creek?)!

We went on some really pretty hikes.

Last Tuesday Chase took the day off and we all headed to Chicago! It was lots of fun and a first for Chase's parents. Here I am with Julie.

The skyscrapers of Chicago!

Chase's parents are the itty bitty people standing by the bean!

Eating Chicago style pizza of course! I love Nyle's expression!!

Trying to mimic Marilyn Monroe.

Visiting the Sears Tower (now known as the Willis Tower). Can you believe the view?

We stood on their observation decks so you can see the city below. Kinda weird and scary.

Chase's mom braved the deck with the tip of her foot!

Nyle, Julie, Me (Joni) and Chase

On Thursday we headed to Nauvoo where we met up with Chase's brother Brady and his family. Here is Chase with Molly and Ethan waiting outside the Nauvoo Temple.

Temple and flowers.

Half the Family: Chase & Joni, Nyle & Julie, Brady & Tasha, Molly and Ethan. We were missing Janelle & Paul family and Drake. We were sad they couldn't be here with us.

Taylor Born.

We stayed at the quaint Hotel Nauvoo. It was in a great spot and fun being all together.

Visiting the sites.

Pre-pageant activities.

Watching the Nauvoo Pageant. Kinda goofy picture!

Nauvoo Temple at Night.

On Saturday we went on a wagon ride touring Nauvoo and hearing the stories and made a few other stops before heading home. Nyle and Julie had begun their long drive back to Idaho earlier in the day. It was such a pleasure to have them come. Thank you!
