Long Time in Coming....Warning....Lots of Pictures!

I am a little tardy in posting these pictures since we have been home for a couple of weeks now but for about 10 days in May we went to Germany for Chase's conference there in Aachen. We also went into the Netherlands and Belgium after the conference was over. It was lots of fun and I was blessed to be able to go with Chase.
We actually flew into Belgium...
 Traveling Day
In the airport...Chase pointing to Brussels where we flew into.
After we got into the airport on a Sunday morning we eventually headed to church.
Then we enjoyed some of Brussels.

Visiting Maastricht, Netherlands one of the evenings.
As part of the conference they also had some companion activities planned that I was so thankful for because Chase was in his conference all day most of the days. One day we went to a few different towns and also went on a boat ride on Lake Rursee.
One of the places we stopped that same day was in a little town called Nideggen in Germany. There was this old abandoned castle that was fun to run around.

That evening I took Chase on a tour of Aachen because I had been on one the day previous. Here is the town hall that was once a palace.
One day we visited the awesome castle of Burg Eltz. It has been in the same family for many generations and is quite off the beaten path which made us love it even more! The following are all pictures of the castle. We loved it!

After the tour of the castle we stopped in a random small town on the way back to Aachen and had an awesome yummy meal as well as enjoyed the view of a neat church.
One of the other companion tours I went on took me to Koln (also Cologne), Germany. This Cathedral is one of the World's Heritage Sites. It is very big and grand.
A group of us climbed 533 steps up the tower. It had a great view at the top.

Also in Koln we found this....They have a relatively new tradition here where lovers will put a lock on the bridge and then throw the key away in the Rhine River as a token of their love. We also saw this while we were in Paris last year...it must be spreading!
 Inside the great Koln Cathedral....

That evening Chase and I went to a small picturesque town of Monschau.
After the conference ended we headed to the Netherlands. On the way to our hotel we saw many views like this. They had lots of canals everywhere. It was great!
We were able to go to the temple there in the Netherlands that night.
The next day we visited the small town of Gouda...So fun!
Of course we had to buy some cheese!
While in the Netherlands we saw lots of people riding bikes everywhere! Here is Chase awing over the 100's of bikes behind him!
This is me eeking over a feather in the eggs. They don't refrigerate their eggs there....or their milk for that matter. Weird.
Another stop that day was in a cool town called Delft. They are famous for their cobalt blue and white porcelain dishes.
Then we headed to Bruges, Belgium. While there we visited the town Damme and saw this cool windmill.

We also visited the beach on the coast of Belgium.
Showing off my baby bump and sadly my white legs too.
Bruges was amazing and quite picturesque.

Inside the Church of our Lady in Bruges with the Michelangelo statue of the Madonna and child.
 More of Bruges...

This is how we found the church on Sunday with this post box label. It was in an office building of sorts- quite obscure with no sign really.
 Eating a famous Belgium waffle!
Visiting Ghent on our way to Brussels.
They had this cool medieval castle in the middle of the city.

 Awesome views and architecture.
The Atomium in Brussels. It is larger than you think....

So there is a quick overview of our trip =)
