Sorry up front because the pictures are way out of order! Of course it has been awhile since I posted since that is how I roll but here are some things that have been going on in our lives...
It seems that the traveling didn't stop after we got back from Europe. In fact not even two weeks later Chase was off again for a two week workshop. One week in Tennessee and one week in Idaho. It was a great learning experience for him and I was so blessed he was able to come home in between the workshops. One of the weeks (just last week) while he was gone I headed to Iowa to visit my Aunt and Uncle Keven and Lorie. It was so fun being with them during that time. They sure eased the hardship of being without my hubby and made me feel so loved. It was a wonderful time and they are a wonderful family!
While I was there we played a silly game called Quelf where you have to sometimes do crazy things! Here is KellieAnn holding her funny cactus object and her pretend snorkle!I also got to enjoy some fun softball games of KellieAnn, Katie, Seth and Karissa! KellieAnn, Katie, and Seth participated in the church softball games and Karissa is in a summer softball team.
Karissa is on the left....
Lorie and KellieAnn!
Before the trip to Iowa...Chase was able to come home for a short weekend and celebrate an early birthday and Father's Day. I am so thankful for such a wonderful man in my life. I couldn't imagine it without him. He is so excited to be a dad and he will be a great one! I am sure thankful for all the fathers in my life, grandfathers included because they are such a great influence and have been such great examples to me. I am grateful for my own father for his conviction in the gospel, his love of learning and reading and desire to have fun! He has always worked so hard to provide for our large family and I am ever grateful for his support through everything. I love you Dad!
Our little baby boy loves his daddy too!
A long standing tradition in my family growing up is having breakfast in bed (on of my favorites) for your birthday. It took awhile to convince Chase of it but I think he rather enjoys it! Here he is with his favorite: Waffles and bacon!!
One of the things he got for his birthday was a map of Idaho. He had been wanting one so that when we move back we can pin point different and possibly remote areas that we want to visit!
I-Pad fun! This he received as an early graduation present. He had been wanting one and I wanted to surprise him with it when he wouldn't expect it. I think it is a very adequate graduation gift with all the hard work he has put into his PhD.
I tried a new recipe for Chase's birthday cake. It is called Snickers Ice Box Cake. It was very yummy and rich if I do say so myself!
Awhile back Chase and I went on a date walking through the Celery Bog (a nature preserve) and here we are!
Here I am sad over the dryness and yellowness of the grass. So strange for Indiana. =(Here are some pictures (not in order) of Chase at his workshops.
