So I know its been quite awhile and I am sure you are all wondering if we dropped off the face of the planet but in truth we are still here! Who knew moving could be so much work? So here are TONS of pictures to show a little snapshot of our lives in the last couple of months!
Back in July my good friend Melissa threw this beautiful baby shower which was so sweet of her and it was so nice to spend some time with my good friends in Indiana especially before moving. Thank you to all of them for coming. It was so nice to see them and visit them. I miss you!
Melissa and me. Melissa you rock!
I just had to throw this in...I wish I had a before picture but the before version was just not pretty, believe me. Chase and I had a good time making it over. We wanted to finish it before we moved.
We also got some time in July to spend with friends before we left. My good friend Swathi and daughter!
Our friends, Amber and Brandon, from our Pocatello days came and visited us in Indiana from Virginia- It was great to see them and spend time with them.
Chase's parents came out the end of July/beginning of August for Chase's graduation and to support us in the move!
Here are some graduation pictures of Chase! Isn't he handsome?! I am so proud of him for his accomplishments.
Included in the graduation scene was of course parties. Here we are at his department party.
Chase accepting his diploma! Officially a Ph.D.!
Proud Parents!
Sadly part of moving is saying goodbye which we did a lot of the weeks before graduation. It is so hard to say goodbye and made us realize how incredibly blessed we have been to know all you wonderful people where ever we have been. We loved Indiana first and foremost because of the people, our friends and family. We love you and miss you!
After we arrived in Idaho just days after graduation we closed on our house! Officially on the 8th of August! Here we are crossing the threshold into our new home!
Then the work began!! Lots and lots of painting! If you can't tell, the walls were bright green and yellow throughout the whole house! We were so lucky to have family nearby who were SOOOO helpful! They did a lot and we couldn't have done it without them!
Fun with family!
My sister is pregnant and due just 3 days before me. It is so fun to compare notes and ask questions! Don't I look so much bigger?!
My nephew buried in the sand!
Another fun thing is that my wonderful sister in law Tasha, wonderful mother and wonderful sister Liz threw me an awesome baby shower! It was so fun to see family and friends! I am grateful for the great people in my life. I feel so blessed!
Me and my older sister Sarah with our baby bumps!
Here is Chase mowing the lawn for the first time!!
Lovely vegetable garden!
Here is a picture of the baby room all painted before the new carpet was put in...I will post more of the completed room later! (In truth- when its done!)
During this time we also enjoyed visiting with family. We were able to head to Twin Falls and visit Chase's older brother and his family in their new home.
And then...FINALLY...our stuff arrived! Here is Chase opening the first box!
And then the unpacking begins =)
One of the first Sundays we went on a drive to enjoy the beautifully scenery of Idaho. Man, we have sure missed the lovely mountains!
For Labor Day weekend we attended a Taylor Family reunion. It was nice to see and meet some family I hadn't met before. Here is the baby blanket! Literally! There were lots of babies!
Chase playing volleyball at the reunion!
Since moving in we have been getting more and more settled. We still have some more settling to do but it will happen eventually! I have been really busy with unpacking and keeping up with the garden and watering stuff. I have also been working lots on baby projects for the room and baby. I am feeling more and more ready for this little guy to come. We sure can't wait to meet him for the first time!
Chase has also been quite busy with work which he enjoys and also with home projects. This last week he finally was able to get going on his favorite project of setting up the sound system. Here he is doing the wiring.
Here is Chase doing our first home repair. Who ever thought you can't put potato peels down the garbage disposal! We learned our lesson!
Here is Chase setting up the baby crib!! Yay!
A couple weekends back we spent some time in Pocatello with family. I love this picture of our nephew hanging with the guys. He is holding a remote (although not playing). We have really loved being close to family again. Families are sure great blessings!
Here is the latest picture of me and my baby bump (from this last week) at 37 weeks! Can you believe how close it is getting?
I am so grateful for this opportunity to be pregnant. Its amazing how much love you can feel for your baby even before he is actually in your arms. I love to feel him move and am awed by this miracle within me.
This last Friday we went and saw my sister run her cross country race. It is nice to be able to do things like that!
All in all we are doing good and feel so blessed. We are so grateful to our Heavenly Father for His tender mercies.
Hopefully more pictures to follow of our house (before and after pictures!).

Congratulations of graduation and new house!! How exciting! Joni, your belly is so cute!! Exciting life changes! :-)
So many milestones in such a short time! It looks like you've been enjoying each one of them, and we're thrilled that the most important upcoming milestone will afford you the opportunity to meet your precious little son in a matter of a few weeks...or days! Congratulations on all accounts. :)
Wow you have done a lot of awesome things! Congratulations. I'm excited for your baby to arrive. Isn't home ownership fun? You have done a lot of work on your house. Good luck with everything! It would be fun to see you guys sometime.
Oh my goodness! I understand why it's been awhile. I'm so happy for you all to be back in idaho and just in time for a new baby. You look great!
