A few weekends back Chase surprised me with a trip to Jackson, WY for a little weekend get away. We went to the visitor center which had lots of taxidermy animals and Alvin loved it! We walked around downtown and also drove around a bit. We also visited the elk refuge which was pretty neat to see and saw lots of wildlife while out in Jackson.
Unrelated but Alvin has been loving trying on other people's shoes lately. Its pretty funny!
At the visitor's center: Alvin was all over the place babbling non stop and pointing all over! It was great!
Alvin is not so happy in this one...But it was beautiful scenery!
Outside the visitor's center.
From inside the center we could see a moose (actually 2- a momma and her baby) and some trumpeter swans and geese. Also the elk herd from a distance.
Momma moose.
Taking the carriage ride to the refuge.
All the elk...
Alvin was pretty quiet on the ride. It was quite windy but we enjoyed it.
Family shot! My hat is really goofy in these pictures!
Alvin got tuckered out by the end of it.
After the refuge we drove to a spot to see these big horned sheep roaming about.
Elk refuge from a distance. After all that we stopped for a bite to eat and headed home early afternoon on a Saturday. It was a nice one night away!
These are out of order but just this Monday we had an Easter FHE with Alvin and it was really neat and then painted eggs for the activity. Alvin quite enjoyed the evening.
Especially since it ended with a bubble bath!
April 1st fooled us with lots of snow. We had another day earlier this month where it snowed huge flakes!
A tired Sunday afternoon.
Alvin has really enjoyed getting outside more and would live there if he could!
Looking out the window at Grandma's house over General Conference weekend! It was nice to be with family and hear our leaders speak. It is always inspiring.
Outside watering plants!
I love spring and all the new growth that occurs. We got our garden prepped over the weekend and planted peas. How exciting!
Chase's brother Brady and Tasha came for the weekend and helped with the garden and us girls got stuff ready for Drake's wedding that is coming up next week (Chase's other brother). It was a nice easy going weekend.
Also last weekend I attended my sister Emma's graduation from BYU-I. I was so happy for her! What a great achievement.
Yay for Emma!
