It is rare that I post anything on the blog, but this is an opportunity that I could not pass up.
So as everyone should clearly be aware, Joni is an excellent crafter. Crocheting is among the crafting she enjoys. Ever since she started crocheting I've teased her about her "knitting" projects. She always rebutted that it is crocheting and not knitting. Now, I am pleased to announce that Joni has officially learned to knit!
Now that the teasing portion of this post is over, I want you to know what type of person Joni is. She is a person that has determination. When she decides that she is going to do something, she does it. Such has been the case with regular journal keeping, focused weekly service activities, flossing, letter writing, and many other things. So it was no surprise to me, although inspiring and impressive, when Joni saw a headband that she liked and determined that she would learn how to make it. It just so happened that learning took her a little farther this time. She checked out a book from the library, watched tutorials, and eventually learned how to knit and finished her headband (I'm sure photos are to come). Now she twiddles those needles like a pro!

This picture is priceless!!! So glad you are sharing it with the rest of us. Great job, knitting, Joni! The ear warmer looks awesome!
You're amazing, Joni! I admire anyone who can research a skill or trade and then figure it out on their own! And you are definitely deeply loved and admired by your wonderful husband, for good reason. :)
