Third Day in Paris

We started the day by walking to Luxemborg Gardens. Quite pretty and serene. Lots of people sitting on chairs and lounging.

After visiting Luxemborg Gardens we headed to stop by the Bon Marche- I guess Paris was the one to invent department stores as we know them. It was a pretty fancy store and very expensive. We didn't stay long!
We then stopped by for some pastries. I love Europe and its bakeries! Cute picture of Chase, eh?!
Then we went to the Orsay Museum- known for its impressionist art. Has works by Monet, Manet and Van Gogh. We actually really loved this museum. It had very neat works of art. We might have even preferred it to the Louvre! It wasn't nearly as large and very doable in a couple of hours.
After the Orsay Museum and lunch we headed to the Rodin Museum. He was a famous sculptor. I am sure you recognize this one...The Thinker.
In the gardens of the Rodin Museum.

Then we headed to Napoleon's tomb. He was actually buried on some island originally but they went and gathered his remains and brought them back and laid them to rest in this ornate tomb. It is huge!
Also nearby Napoleon's tomb is an army museum. It was quite interesting and many artifacts of war.
Some dating centuries ago. I love this one of Chase!

Then....How can you visit Paris and not visit the Eiffel Tower?! We took tons of pictures but here are just a few =) It is very large!
Chase took this one- he is quite the photographer!
Heading back to the apartment on the metro after another fun long day!

Fun! Joni, that picture of you in the gardens is TOO beautiful! And Chase has quite the eye--that Eiffel Tower pic is pretty rad!
