Really early one morning a weekend or two ago we boarded a plane...
And took off for Florida...For the beginning of an adventure to the Bahamas!
Our friends the Newman's lovingly encouraged us to join them on this once in a lifetime opportunity to go on a cruise with them~ and we were so happy we did!

The next day we docked at the island of Nassau in the Bahamas. One of our first adventures was getting to church.
The small branch was such a pleasure to visit. The members were so inviting and friendly. Its amazing that you can pretty much go anywhere in the world and find a church nearby.
After attending church and having lunch we explored the famous Atlantis Resort in Nassau.
The resort hotel had an awesome aquarium!

Another resort picture. It was quite amazing and very ritzy! One thing that seemed so conflicting in our minds was the poverty that existed outside of the resort on the island and then the obvious wealth found within the resort. It was interesting because we got to see both sides of it when we drove through the island to attend church and afterward as we explored the resort.

Oh, how fun it must have been to make that decision to go and then especially to experience it all. Looks like the weekend was marvelous, start to finish.
You didn't tell me you went you little stinker! I am so jealous! That looks like so much fun! I am glad you got to go! You guys seem like you are always on some fun adventure!
