We went to a cute pumpkin patch this year to choose some mighty fine pumpkins.

Alvin helping dad fix the toy box.
One of our recent projects (BIG projects) was refinishing our cupboards. I was anxious to see the outcome. It was a lot of work and we were soo grateful for Chase's parents and brother's help. They spent part of a friday evening and most of the day Saturday helping us which cut off a bunch of time for us. We worked on it pretty much every evening the next week too and finally got it done with just a few little details left to do. It turned out wonderfully! We used the rustoleum cupboard transformation kit and it did a great job. It was A LOT of work but so worth it!
Thank you guys!! We owe you big time!

Just this week we finally got around to carving our pumpkins! Just in time for Halloween! Alvin loved it!
He wasn't sure what to think of the gooey stuff.
But he loved clanking spoons with daddy!
The outcome...so we aren't that creative- we admit it! Can you see the cool toothpick holding up the eyeball?

Also last week we went to a Halloween party. We sported outfits representing some of the Wizard of Oz characters (I was Dorothy, Chase was the lion, and Alvin was the scarecrow).

We finally decided to move the bassinet down in the basement to make some room for a bookshelf in Alvin's room. Alvin decided to take a ride in it!
